Snow Day!

Oh my gosh we have SOOOO much snow! The roads are COVERED here in Kentucky! I am so relieved that I didn't have to go to school and I can spend my day with Mialyn Reese! They sent a bunch of people home from work today where Erik works but of course he had to stay:( I was so upset because I would love for us all to spend some time together but I have to get over it! lol.

This past weekend was full of excitement! Friday night we went to Babies R Us because Mialyn is officially out of her infant seat! My little girl is getting SOOOO big! We had to order it because they were sold out but we went with the Pink and Brown Graco My Ride. I love how the sides come out on top a little, it is REALLY safe, and the cup holders are definitely going to come in handy! Also, when you trade in ANYTHING.. carseats, high chairs, pack and plays, etc.. right now until the 20th you get a BIG discount! All these items I believe are going to charity so head over and check it out!!!! After we left Babies R Us we were on our way to eat and we couldn't figure out what we wanted so we were driving around Lexington comtemplating... Before I knew what was going on Erik made a complete U turn and headed back to Paul Miller Ford. He seen the truck of his dreams with a price he couldn't turn down! So, Friday night we left Lexington as the proud new owners of a 2010 F250 diesel:) He is so happy about it, and he works so hard and really deserves it!!!!! Saturday we went back to Lexington to finish the paper work, and then went out to eat with my parents for lunch:) Whenever we got home we spent some time with my cousin and her husband and then Sunday we went to Wal-Mart and then had some friends over for the Super Bowl:) If I had a choice I'd pick the Cowboys to be in the Super bowl so I wasn't that interested, but I was ALL for the Saints, and everyone else besides Alisha and I were for the Colts! I am so glad the Saints won it!

Yesterday we got out of class a little early which is always great! I got to spend a little more time with Mialyn which was wonderful!!!!!! This morning she also learned a NEW word:) She said PAPAW! It was the cutest thing ever:) I love her so much! I hope everyone is having a great day! Watch the roads!

You know how we all go through life and we have those days where bad things happen and we say it was the "WORST" day of our lives? Bad hair day, getting lied to, being betrayed, failing a test, etc.. Or how about those PERFECT DAYS? The days where EVERYTHING GOES RIGHT? The days where You get an A+ after studying so hard, or getting the sweetest card "just because", or realizing that you've fallen in love with the perfect person and letting them know and hearing it back from them. You know... the "BEST" days of our lives? WELL... all these things are wonderful don't get me wrong... but NO DAY IN MY ENTIRE LIFE COULD POSSIBLY BE AS PERFECT AS MAY 4th 2009! That moment... the moment I first heard my daughter cry, the very minute I seen her face.. THAT moment, THAT day... NOW THAT was THE BEST and will ALWAYS be the BEST day of my ENTIRE LIFE!!!!

My precious baby girl,

Oh my goodness how you are growing! You are getting so big and so smart!!!!!! Mialyn, you are our pride and joy and we love seeing you become this beautiful little girl with such a strong personality! We hate to see you grow up because we want you to be our baby forever, and even though you always will be... I know one day you will leave for college, spread your wings, and become anything you want to be! When that day comes, I promise I'll still be your best friend, your Mommy, your mentor, your rock... and absolutely ANYTHING you need I will be there for you. I now know how my mom (your Nana) must have felt whenever she went through all these things with me. It makes me appreciate her so much, and I hope one day you will have a little girl or boy and bless me with a grandchild and I can experience that also:) Mialyn the last nine months have been so amazing! You are everything I could have ever asked God for and much much more! All I want to do is be around you, play, cuddle, and watch all the new things you learn every day! You say Momma, Da-Da, Ba-Ba, You HOLD your own BOTTLE:), You say HI and BYE and wave! You shake hands! You feed yourself ALL your finger foods:) YOU LOVE your snacks! You LOVE animal crackers! You just got your 3rd tooth, and I think you are getting 2 more! You are so precious Mialyn Reese! You walk with your little walking toy, you crawl at crazy speeds! You are completely standing up on your own! This has been SUCH A BIG MONTH FOR YOU! I am SOOOOOOO proud of you little girl! You are my heart and soul, my whole world, and I am so LUCKY you are my baby! Happy 9 months pretty princess! You will be one year in three short months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND OF COURSE... here is the BIRTHDAY outfit I am ALMOST positive! I talked with the woman who is making it and this is the outfit I told her I wanted and LOVED and she sent me a picture of some Hawaiian print fabric that she is going to do it in:) SOOOO cute! This outfit can be found HERE!

Again... I am super busy!

I feel so horrible because I haven't been blogging on a daily basis. I LOVE TO BLOG, I LOVE READING EVERYONE'S BLOG, I LOVE THE COMMENTS, SUGGESTIONS, AND GIVING THEM AS WELL. I love giving everyone a glimpse into my life and keeping up with my beautiful little angel and reading about all of yours too!!!!!! Nursing school has basically consumed my life. I feel like I never get to spend any time cleaning my house, playing with Mialyn as much as I'd like to, or being held by my fiance! I feel swamped! Not that I am complaining, I am sooooo blessed!!!!!! I am lucky I even have the chance to go to school! I am just sooo ready to be done! I have so much to look forward to within the next year! Mialyn turns 1 May 4th! I get married July 24th! July 25th we leave for Mexico:) my BEST friend is getting married! 2 of my best friend's babies are turning 1! AND SO MUCH MORE!!!!!!!! I am really looking forward to all of the fun things!!!!! I promise tomorrow there will be a GREAT post! Why you ask? MY LITTLE GIRL IS TURNING 9 MONTHS OLD! I'll give you a glimpse at her birthday outfit, decoration ideas, and much more:) I LOVE MY BABY GIRL!!! I hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far!

My mother informed me...

...that I NEED TO BLOG. This is so true. School has kept me super busy. I am there ALL day four days a week. I am not complaining because it's really not THAT BAD if you take away the 4:30 wake up call, waking Mialyn up so early to take her to my aunt's house, and missing her constantly. Other than that, school is actually fun. It hasn't been too hard and I made a 95% on my first pharmacology test:) I am very proud of that seeing as how I AM HORRIBLE AT MATH... I mean that with all of me! Last night I started back to Zumba and I felt GREAT about it:) I really need to get myself motivated and just do it! I am in the process of looking good for my wedding so I've got to force myself no matter how bad I don't want to go. When I actually get there I get pumped and excited:) It's the "getting my butt out the door" that is hard lol:) I really do like it though and I feel like I work really hard so I need to do something for "ME" and that includes going to the tanning bed every day as well which Lea and I have been doing:) I am getting prepared for spring weather, summer dresses, the wedding, and Mexico:) I am so ready for the winter to be over with! I want to take Mialyn outside in our big backyard, let her play in the pool, swing on her swing set, slide down her slide, and enjoy being outdoors and staying active! I LOVE WARM WEATHER!!!!!!! Speaking of the devil, it's supposed to snow tonight. Usually I love snow but I am just so over it being 20 degrees outside I just don't want to wake up and look out my window in the morning lol.

So...THE MAIN REASON FOR THIS POST is........Mialyn is getting her THIRD tooth:) SOOOO happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has finally broke through and she is feeling MUCH better and sleeping A LOT better:) I can't wait until she has two top teeth along with her two bottom:) Nothing cuter! My angel is growing up on me soooo fast! I just can't believe it! ANOTHER MILESTONE....... SHE IS STANDING COMPLETELY ON HER OWN! She did it at LEAST ten times tonight and each time for like 10 seconds (and that's a long time to stand there lol). I am so proud of her! She is just so perfect:) I am so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful daughter, and such a great daddy, and family to surround her!

On another note, I have a fellow blogger working on my wedding invitations as we speak! She is almost done with the last sample and she is going to mail them out to me:) I can't wait to see them! Also, here is the gown I picked for my wedding. I can't believe that I chose it because honestly, it's NOT ME at all... BUT as soon as I tried it on I fell in LOVE and I KNEW it was the one! It goes perfect with the veil and jewelry:) Of course I cannot put the picture of ME in it on here yet because that ruins the fun and plus... Erik reads my blog lol.. So, here is a little sneak peek!

ALMOST SILENT SUNDAY

I thought I'd do a "Silent Sunday" post in which I was just going to post photos to recap the weekend but I have to include a few comments lol:) Friday night we didn't get home until midnight but we FINALLY picked up our boat:) I am super excited for the summer:) So much to look forward to! Saturday I stayed home with Mialyn while Erik went four wheeling with some friends from work, and Andrea and Alisha brought the boys over to play. Then last night my friends from high school had girl's night and it was good catching up! We ate all sorts of finger foods, and played some card games. I went home a little after midnight and it was good to come home to my baby girl and her daddy:):) Today Erik and I went and tried a new Italian restaurant that we had never ate at and it was horrible. We were wishing we would have went to a different place but it was still fun to spend time together! After that we went a bought Mialyn some baby food and cereal, and then went over to visit Lea, Timmy, and Brody:) Now we are home. Mialyn is asleep, and so is Erik. Erik just started feeling sick and cold and I think he is catching the virus my parents have had this weekend. Please pray for him. Friday

This week has went pretty well. I am so happy that it is finally the weekend though and I don't have to worry about nursing school until Monday! Erik had to work a little bit today but he got off at noon and he should be coming home soon. We have a few errands to run and then we are either heading to Lexington today or tomorrow to pick up our new boat. We would have already had it but with all that snow and salt on the roads it would have been disgusting and filthy by the time we got it home so we have been waiting for an okay day. The only downfall is it looks SOOO cloudy out and I am afraid it's going to start raining today. I just hope we get it home and it isn't a mess to try and clean up. It's so bright and pretty I'd hate for it to get all the gross stuff off the road splashed all over it:S But regardless, I am ready to bring it home!

I have been looking for wedding invitation ideas online and I really cannot find any I like! I was wondering if any of you all know of any blogs/websites that do custom wedding invitations? I am looking for something simple with hot pink and green on it with our monogram. Nothing too extravagant! Our colors are green and pink though and I can't find the right colors anywhere! I never talk much about our wedding because our life is ALL about Mialyn:) and that is okay with me! lol but we are getting married July 24th, and we've got the church, caterer, reception area, my dress, and we are getting the bridesmaid dresses this month but I already have those picked out. I still need to order my invitations/programs, flowers, cake, and get all the wedding favors, place settings etc.. It is slowly coming together but I know I have a little more time. I am getting very excited! If you know any ideas of where I can look at all these things please let me know! I'm not too good at planning these things!

So, another thing that has been on my mind is Mialyn's first birthday! I know I still have a few months but oh my goodness she is going to be 9 months old next week! I need to start getting everything together and working on little projects and make some lists of what I need for it. We are hosting it at our house because we have a huge backyard. We are grilling out, having cake and ice cream, AT LEAST ONE inflatable for the kiddies, and it's going to be... drum roll please....... MIALYN'S 1ST BIRTHDAY LUAU! Included with all things strictly Hawaiian:) lol I am going to buy hawaiian themed everything lol but I have seen things from Hobby Lobby, Oriental Trade, Etsy, and different places for pretty good deals so I am just gonna go with all that. I am super excited! I can't believe my little girl will be ONE so soon! It seems like just yesterday when I was in the hospital anticipating her arrival and to think that was almost a year ago! She is the best thing that has happened to us! I can't thank God enough that she is here and healthy and growing like a weed:) She is just so perfect! Here is an idea I found for the invitations:

It will probably be a little different but I thought this was adorable:) I intended on having her first birthday be Princess with Hot pink and Zebra and I know it is "HER" day but all her friends are BOYS. I just couldn't see Andrea, Lea, Alisha, and everyone else bring their little boys over to a girly Pink Princess party lol so I thought the beachy/hawaiian theme would be super fun and a great way to start off the summer:)

Well, I am done rambling for a while. Erik actually just called me and told me we were going to Lexington so I need to go get a shower while my angel is napping:) Don't forget to let me know if you all know of any wedding sites:) Thanks so much!!!! Oh my gosh! I die for some Eva Longoria Parker! She definitely is one of the most beautiful women on the planet! She undoubtedly lived up to her title as the "Sexiest Desperate Housewife" in this beautiful red gown! I LOOOOVVVEEE this dress! It's flawless, and fits her beautifully! THIS IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING "I WISH" I could wear!
